Ares Tar 21 - Cannot replace gearbox?

I heard that if my gearbox breaks, it will be hard or more less impossible to find a replacement. Is this true? or can it be ordered online in any case?

Many thanks

I beleive Ares guns use modified versions of existing gearboxes....you can order parts directly from them... I think....(at least you could always Email them((LINK)))

ARES Tavor uses a unique gearbox. It is reinforced, so chances of it breaking from normal operation is minimal.

In the unlikely event of breakage, have your retailer direct you to the Canadian distributor. If you contact ARES directly, they'll just tell you to contact the Canadian distributor anyways.

But unless it breaks, there's nothing to worry about.

Mach1 carries the TSI Tavor, which uses a version 3 gearbox (TSI achieved this by making their Tavor too big). It is completely different from the ARES Tavor.

Who is the Canadian Distributor for the ARES Tavor?

Are you talking about the gearbox or gearbox internals?
For the gearbox, it is a proprietary gearbox, so replacing the shell would be difficult.

As for the internal parts, there are actually some good option of parts out there that work with the ARES Tar 21. I currently ordered a bunch of upgrade parts for my TAR, and I will be able to test if they work as soon as it arrives.
