JG M4 S-System Upgrade guide?

Hi,

Recently, I painted my lower receiver and since the gun was opened, I wondered how I could boost my rifle internaly.

A friend of mine suggested the following :

Modify High Speed Ultra Piston - New Version http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1369

MASK Sorbo Piston Head with Bearing - New Version http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1184

MASK Pro Cylinder Head V2 http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1317

Shredder's Concave Spacer http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1593

He also suggested getting a new hop-up. (Stock Hop-Up is 2-pieces, AFAIK)

Any suggestions?

Should I ask a Gun Doc to install these for me, being new to the sport and all?

And yes, I'm on a budget, so no FMU for now (Or new rifle)

I'm not looking for a high ROF gun, I want more consistancy/accuracy.

Lastly, I may buy a new gun (from here this time), so I just want to upgrade this one lightly, to be able to use it, and then use it as a backup/indoor gun.

Thank you very much!

When I got mine, I was totally new and opened it right away without any prior experience. It really depends on how much you want to tinker with it and how comfortable you are with those kind of stuff. If you think you are able to, go ahead and DIY.

Agreed if you think you can do it try it yourself, it's the only way you'll learn. If shit hits the fan you can always take it to a gun doc after.

all of those upgrades are useless......

...if you don't know what you want out of it.

Accuracy...Reliability...HighROF/quick trigger response...power...louder/quieter...

I highly suggest you take a read through Greylock's and Skruface's upgrade threads..stickied in the Upgrades/Modifications forum section. They go over most common upgrades, and details of this type of part vs. that type of part. Solid gold information there.

It was chrono'd at 392 at the store.

I still have to decide between keeping it for indoors, or outdoors and just swap springs.

I didn't open the gearbox yet, so I don't want to go see a Gun Doc every week between games :P

When you get used to it, changing spring takes about 30 minutes in total. Probably a lot longer the first times.

If you intend to swap spring, you really should do it yourself, it's relatively easy to do.

Check this out: www.mechbox.com

This one especially: http://www.mechbox.com/mechbox/v2-me...g-upgrade.html

Alright, did my homeworks.

Watched pretty much every mechbox.com videos on M4s. Also read both threads suggested above.

I made this temporary list, from what I read and understood could be good. I tried to stick with Modify to avoid fitting issues.

What I didn't include (couldn't find it/find suitable one)

Spring. Checked the spring s100 (Seems to shoot over 365 fps, too hot for indoor). I read there was a S90, although not on ASparts.ca. I know springs also weaken after some use.

Switch Assembly for Rear-wiring (Electricity and me = big no no)

Oil + Grease

New hopup (JingGong one is really crappy, hard to use, etc.)

Inner Barrel (Could wait)

Any suggestions on things I forgot or things I don't need for now?

I'm trying to stay within the 200$ range, as I still have other stuff to buy (Extra battery, good charger, etc.)

Thank you very much for your help, really appreciated!
