Tokyo Marui AUG (highly modified) Having some problems..

I just bought this rifle and things aren't going well.

Here's what happened, First off, I put the silicone grease in the mech box. Loaded the mag and attempted to fire it. The mag feed into the receiver just fine but the rounds just rolled out of the barrel. The first three times I pulled the trigger I heard the piston slamming back and forth but the rounds just rolled out of the barrel instead of firing. On the fourth trigger pull I could no longer hear the piston just a loud buzzing sound, witch I think might be the motor spinning freely, so not contacting the gears or striped gears.

I am in no way an expert, I can pull the mech box out but that's it. I'm looking to employ a gun doc in or around Edmonton. I live in Cold Lake.

The spec's on the rifle are: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...&highlight=AUG

Internal Upgrades consist of:

Systema M150 spring
Systema All Helical Gear Set Super Torque Ratio
Systema Magnum Motor
Systema Metal Shim Set
Systema New Bore Up Cylinder Set for AUG
Deep Fire Titanium Piston V.2 (Full Teeth / Titanium)
HurricanE 6mm Oil Less Bushing
HurricanE Metal Spring Guide W/Bearing
King Arms Steel Stopperrail
FIRST PSG-1 Barrel 590mm 6.03mm

I've been told to adjust the hop up as it might be wide open and that would fix the problem of rounds just rolling out of the barrel. Again I am very new and not at all comfortable doing my own gun doc work.

I'm heading to Edmonton on Easter Weekend April 2nd-4th if you know of a reputable gun doc in or around the area that could meet with me please PM with there information so I can make contact.

In the mean time I would love to hear of any suggestions I could do to narrow down the problem. So I can have the proper parts and get my baby up and running as soon as possible.

Thank you all for reading and responding to this post!

So...have you tried turning the hopup off/on, up/down like was suggested?

According to the ASC Spring Chart this thing should be shooting well above a Systema M120S spring at 421 FPS with .20's.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/SpringChart.php

I would guesstimate the M150 at about 480-500 FPS. I would suggest swapping out the spring for something like a Guarder SP110 at 408 FPS (it will settle under 400 in time) and verifying the internals, and changing any stripped or damaged parts. Then verify the hop up to see if it is functioning properly.

yep, 480 fps spring+helical gears=verrry high torque.

you could take the mechbox out and test it, then it would be easier to tell where the problem comes from.
