As mentioned above, this project has been abandoned. If I do another write-up, it will be with another build.

@Illusion : I am interested in nova slide stop (Wilson extended version). Will this fit in my hi capa with SD frame and slide?
Will freedom art slide stop give the same blingtastic effect as the nova one? Freedom art is much cheaper and I am planning to get one if the quality match nova. |

FA is aluminum, Nova is stainless steel(or steel, depends on what you buy). They need to be modded to work on Hi-Capa(or 1911 for that matter), but they will work once you have it fitted.

Never seen the Freedom Art one before, so I couldn't tell you. But as RacingManiac said, different materials. If you don't care for ultimate durability and just want to save money while getting some bling, then the Freedom Art one could work... |

ILLusion, great info on all your posts.
I did a post in another thread and got nowhere with it. I am trying to buy a TM hi-capa in the Toronto area, which dealer sells it? Everywhere I tried, airsoft dealers are pushing me to a WE hicapa which I don't think is as good as a TM. Thanks Bob Last edited by BobSpeed; July 16th, 2011 at 23:27.. |

Just because you say you shoot real IPSC doesnt mean squat online. Asking the same question more then once in 2 different threads when its been answered already is spam. You've had the time to visit 2 different retailers then you have enough time to go meet a verifier. |

This is great, GBB your stuff is amazing! I am just waiting for my order from xfire to come in and my m24 will be at maximum potential. So after that’s up and running I though I’d work on my pistol. i know they sell the mid frame on redwolf but illegal to import ?

I came upon this thread while researching my Hi-Capa build. There's some pretty good information here, much of it still current. For the benefit of Hi-Capa fans, I thought I'd bring this back to life.

YAY necro! Haha I totally forgot about this thread. Im glad to see we are lucky to have tonnes of hi capa parts available to us. Still, I wish illusion finished this project.

In the beginning of this thread, some very nice components were mentioned, but not by name: "the same OEM manufacturer that manufactures the slide, mid-frame, cocking handle and blowback housing used in this project." I assume there was a good reason for the secrecy then... is it possible to put a name to this component manufacturer now? Are their products widely available on the parts market?

ILLusion Kinetics is the brand.
I am juggling a lot of things at the moment, including a revamping of the brand. Things will be quiet for a bit longer as I catch up on a bunch of things, rebuild my workshop, and get my house finished. I'm going to re-do this thread, with a complete build or two from beginning to end. I have a few builds here in progress that I'm photographing and documenting for this. |
