Bump.

Hey guys. I got the gun, its a BEAST. Very heavy, hardkick version, very loud. Its atleat 5 years old.

A couple of questions.

1) The guns 5 years old. Its in great condition. is there anything I should do to the internals? Maybe a cleaning?

2) Sometimes when Im dryfiring, I can see gas come out of like the back end of the gun (Sort of like the gun is purging gas). Is this normal or not? Sometimes the gas comes out the barrel.

3) The seller told me he believes I could use c02 or compressed air that people use to clean computers with. Is this true or not? (Note: The gun is GREEN GAS/PROPANE.)

Thanks guys.

clean it maybe a little silicone oil on moving parts

kinda normal but it should not make a huge cloud

marui guns are supposed to be used with duster gas, but they are robust enough to use propane... i occasionally use duser (hfc134a) in my deagle at close range (because mine put out nearly 350 fps on propane) it hurts less!

What do you mean "Duster Gas"?

The gun came with green gas, and I know propane can be used in it too.

But, Ive heard that I can use compressed air (That comes in like those keyboard cleaning cans/ computer cleaning cans.)

Yes it can use compressed air (duster gas, HFC 134a, etc), easier than it can use green gas/propane. Duster is lower pressure, so it isn't as powerful, and thus isn't as rough on the gun.

TM Desert Eagles out of the box can handle propane.

And are you sure it's full metal? Duster can't pull metal slides.

It is TM. Its not full metal. Dont worry. It was the sellers mistake. (he said it was full metal, and then apologized when I proved it wasnt.)

So basically on this gun I could use:

Compressed Air/Duster (Lower Pressure.)
Propane (With special adapter)
Green Gass

I believe the TM Desert Eagle Hardkick version is about 315-330 fps. Does anyone know the approx. fps it would be if I used duster?

Its the old version you own. New mags dont work, Few problems....When somthing breaks you wont be able to repair it. Buying a NEW TYPE hardkick version 2 for 300$ish (brand new) would be a more worth while investment.

These tend to be the only plastic topped gbb pistol on the entire market that will withstand propane out of the box for many many years....

$300? People said its worth $600.

Also, this guy says hes been using propane in it for 5 years, and the thing still shoots clean, powerful, and has amazing groupings.

Whats the different between the new and old mags?

Is there any way to tell how old the gun is? (Or what model it is?)

Its a TM. Serial/model Number: 94731

The internet says thats the DE Hardkick version

no stock TM Deagle is worth $600 unless its FMU or comes with a pile of mags, $300-$400 is the price for such guns, unless you're lucky and find one for dirt cheap hehe

Hmm, earlier in the thread I said that Im getting it for $180, and thenooblord and kuro_neko said its worth "nearly 3 times that amount".

180 x 3 = 540.

xD

How would I tell if mines the old version or new version?

I posted the model/serial already.

The gun shoots nicely. I just need to get more gas, as my cans almost empty. (Plus the nozzle is bent on the can, which causes it to "drip" onto my hand and BURN.)

I did get "lucky" for once. Considering I got it with 1000 .25 and 1000 .30 BBs. Plus a almost empty can of green gas for testing. Yay?

EDIT: Also, I believe I beat ancorp to the gun. The seller said ancorp contacted him and was interested. Sorry ancorp. I still love you, kinda.

nooblord and kuro_neko don't know what theyre talking about, nooblord himself should know better as I believe he has one, most TM Deagles go for around $300-$400 right now
