You sound like you're new to airsoft. In that case, DO NOT get a 11.1v lipo if you're looking to achieve 16+ RPS. 11.1v lipos are mainly for people who want 30+ RPS and are willing to live with a gun that will be plagued with reliability issues. A good 9.6 mini nunchuck should be able to get you 16 RPS easily, assuming your gun is just a rebranded VFC.

what about LiFe bats?.. slightly lower voltage than Lipo 1cell =3.3v 2S=6.6v 3S=9.9v. Alot safer than Lipo as you can fully discharge without puffing the packs, and can take more than 1C charge rate.
only downside is u need a charger that is life capable, but most lipo chargers nowadays have life capabilities as well. |

A long Lasting Gun will require you to Cut the teeth of the gears, also you should consider just getting a better motor, like a Gaurder high speed or a G&P m120 Motor, i have a King Arms Larue 9 Inch stock, except i threw in a G&P m120 motor and i run a 15C 7.4 Lipo Battery and i easily achieve 23 RPS, but after full days of Games, the piston broke, so thats part of my experience, my MK18 uses a 9.6V NICAD and it runs pretty fast im getting 20 RPS with it probs cuz i have a Gaurder Highspeed in it but the gearbox is stock. YOU DONT NEED A 11.1V EVEN IF U GOT A STRONGER SPRING

So you mean that a 7.4V lipo= a LiFe 6.6V? |

January 11th, 2011, 12:06 | #21 |
but 6.6V isn't a LiFE battery! Life batteries only have 3.2/6.4/9.6/12.8.

a 9.6v 3600mah battery would start you out around 1400rpm when it's topped up, and then slow down to 1200rpm
You can avoid that by not topping up the battery, and it'll last atleast 6000rounds The 2 most common battery types are 8.4v large, and 9.6v mini. They give you about the same rate of fire, and it's 900-1100rpm. There's a few variables that affect ROF other than your battery; gear ratio, spring, type of motor, condition of motor, quality and gage of wiring in your gun, whether or not you have a mosfet switch Not all batteries are the same, you can't just slap any type of battery in your gun and go, you have to know HOW TO USE those batteries safely. NiCd, NiMH you can beat the crap out of them and they work great. They're noob proof. LiPo's can spew burning hot gas in your face if your expose it to over current draw, or damage it then charge it up after. You don't seem to understand how LiPO's work, so read this; http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=99899 Last edited by ThunderCactus; January 11th, 2011 at 16:01.. |

thanks for all the informations. But the only reason why I want to get a 7.4 lipo is because a 9.6V 3600mah IS TOO BIG FOR A AVALON CRANE STOCK. So I need something that fits in the crane stock and has the same performance.

^ I was told it won't fit in the Avalon/VFC crane stocks. I'm just running a nunchuk 9.6v 1400MAH

You can take the plastic part off so it turns into a nunchuck
