If a CTW fails and you are forced to buy an EL-001 from Systema for $125 USD, or if the motor needs to be replaced, you have lost any cost savings from buying a clone.
Their parts seem to be about 20% less than Systema, not worth it for clone stuff of unknown quality at this point.

Wow despite all the thought to be rumors and naysayers it's actually coming out.
And why wouldn't it? TM aegs have been cloned to hell. I wouldn't be suprised if more companies brought out their clones of ptws in the future.

So, Beowulfe, does this mean you have one?
Sorry, I see the pic is from clanfalcon or whatever his handle is.

I haven't read the entire thread, nor am I particularly experienced, but as far as I reckon if the airsoft market is anything like hobby markets, this sort of makes sense. We are in a recession... so bringing out a cheap, affordable clone of a quality AEG might entice buyers who would otherwise be cautious about spending their money.
Though that also sort of makes me willing to bet that this isn't going to be high quality. Not at first, at least. Last edited by Ashton; April 24th, 2009 at 06:49.. |

I'd like
another year of speculation and "ASS talking" before it comes out ... I find it's really productive.
how bout we all wait and see?

Yeah, really unexpected. I would have thought that such product, which is a clone of a (probably patented?) sytem wouldn't be sold in such a high-profile airsoft shop.
