I need tips for taking care of my gun
Some questions for any experts who may lay some of their knowledge unto me. I'm pretty newb to airsoft as a whole so yeah... HALP
I just got a TM MP7 ordered fresh out of the box, $500+, but I like the gun and the only place I go airsofting ATM is at indoor arena, so it's perfect for me! Anyways, considering I'm investing a bit in this guy I would like to know: 1. What are the simplest things you can do to extend the life of your gun? 2. What does cleaning do other then make it clean? :/ 3. Any other tips to give my gun a healthy glow? Thanks! |

Well aside from the basic dont drop it on the cement, and do not not shower with it, there is not a whole lot to do. Just dont over charge the battery/batteries if you have multiple.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=26045 <-- Some info on battery charging for the MP7. The only thing to really clean out is the inner barrel and thats just to make sure its free from obstruction so it does not get scratched or damaged. If your up from doing it yourself or finding someone to do it who doesnt mind working on AEP mechboxes, crack it open once a year to regrease the mechbox. However before I say anything more I would just like to say that TM aeps like the MP7 usually run very fair and for a very long time if just left alone. Installing high performance FPS parts will only usually work towards decreasing its life span due to enhanced stress on a small mechbox.

For XT, a stock TM MP7 will be just fine.
You may want to look into a battery box or something so you can get a better battery in there... but other than that you don't really need much else for XT (Perhaps you should look into a bright flash-light or other accessories like that.. Those are very helpful at XT.) |

Yeah, for that bloody "glow-in-the-dark" room :P
I'm definitely going to be looking into a small reflex sight and a couple high cap mags, as well as extra batteries... As well as mods to put a larger battery in there. I've heard the 7.2 runs out after about 6 high cap mags (100rnds) Quote:
