Smoke Nades or Flashbangs???

So i want to know a bit more about the airsoft smoke grenades. Are they homemade or bought for the most part? Are they welcome on most or all fields? I saw a few being used but thats about the extent of my experience with them so any comments or advice on the topic would be welcome. Thanks!!!

There isn't such a thing as an "airsoft smoke grenade" as far as I'm aware.

There are lots of different kinds of smoke grenades, but most of them are pyrotechnic, which means they require ignition to work. Pyro is not welcome at most fields and, even if they are, only well-known members of the community should be allowed to use them.

There are some flameless smoke emitters, but I'm unsure as to whether or not they will be allowed.

The smoke grenades you'll often see on fields (when they're allowed, as Gerkraz pointed out) are marine distress smoke markers: for safety reasons they remain cool and won't act as an ignition source for flammable materials in forests (such as dried leaves and twigs, pine needles etc).

As for flashbangs, the closest you'll find is something like the Tornado grenade with the FB membrane, or the Madbull distraction device.

Pyro is usually bought from licensed pyrotechs AFAIK.

I was hearing about one of the Keystone games where they had pyro and it was all bought and setup by a pyrotech.

MOST fields won't allow pyro of any kind, it becomes a safety issue and their insurance most likely doesn't cover it. That being said it's a really stupid idea to use them in the first place as someone pointed out due to died leaves and whatnot.

yeah thats what i was thinking. anything with a fuse would burn hot and i didnt think it would be safe. The ones i saw at our noob were sweet but again i was not sure what the deal was with them. people tossed them inside a barn and on the grass, im not sure what type they were. thanks for the info.

The ones used at Noob day in Stonewall were lit with a fuse.
