order tanaka kar98 from uncompany

my dad and me ordered a tanaka kar98 at uncompany.com and we ordered a real sling (on ebay from california) for it when they sent us a reply that they ship it, (i live in new york and when i order things from california it takes like five days. we ordered sling on friday and i got it on monday (today) suprisingly , i thought i was going to get my rifle first... and i didnt get a tracking number yet, should i be worried? did customs eat my rifle and scratch up the markings? ??

It's only in Canada that you can't order from overseas.

Since you're in the U.S you can order from wherever.

If you live in New York City I think you're only allowed clear guns, I'm not 100% sure of that one.

Guns imported into the USA run the risk of having their trades dremeled off if they aren't covered up, and the gun ends up having really shitty scars on it anywhere there's proper trades.

You'd probably be better off asking this on an American airsoft forum where they're better versed in US laws and regulations.

UNCompany usually puts a removable glue covering on the trades so once you get the gun, you can pick it off leaving the trades unharmed.

I also beleive that I had heard that NY doesn't allow replica firearms in, I'm also not %100 certain on that.

You can't have any trades period if you're in the US AFAIK due to trademarks and such (unless it's licensed by the company you have trades from).

Also I believe there may be some weird state laws in NY governing airsoft, airguns, and the discharging of such devices. Really you're probably better to go to somewhere like airsoft retreat to ask (more knowledge of US federal and state laws). Although.... I've personally heard that the US airsoft forums are more underaged kids who chairsoft and spew bullshit and misinformation, so take everything from other US airsoft forums with a grain of salt. More reputable sites like ArniesAirsoft and such are probably a good place to go.
