Best upgrade parts for a warrior L96

Just wondering which parts are best to put in this gun especially for accuracy any thoughts?

Well to increase accurracy the best upgrade you can do is to get a tightbore barrel. PDI makes some good barrels. You will want a 6.01mm or a 6.03mm barrel. Also if you have no experience upgrading a gun please locate a gun doctor in your area for assistance. They will be able to help you with other parts to fine tune a l96 and be able to preform the upgrades for you.

Would be the best springs to avoid actually, they are so inconsistant and stiff it's unbelieveable! Stick with Laylax only for springs, up to a 130m/s spring use a 7mm bearing spring guide, 140 and over use a 9mm guide. And whatever piston you buy, it should be able to handle the larger diameter spring. Most sold do.

Yup, laylax for springs.

And go buy a PDI hop up unit + Prometheus Hard hop up rubber + Prometheus tightbore.

And if you can install it and set it up properly(it is VERY important to be able to install these things properly), then you will get really nice accuracy.

personally, i hate the PDI hop-up unit. its way to complicated IMHO to adjust it and such. As they said, stick with Laylax springs, and get PDI everything else. But either way (depending on which hop-up unit you decide to get) get a new rubber.

Honestly, unless you're willing to sink a couple hundred bucks into it, just keep it stock. It should be shooting close to 450 anyway.

I know its shooting 450 but the accuracy isnt what it should be for a sniper rifle since you have minimum engagement distances its pointless to have unless it's accurate

then just get a tightbore, and your problems should be solved and you will save a lot of money

That is untrue for a TSD/Well type 96, it fits perfectly without any modifications. It is 100% TM compatible, since I changed everything and never had to do any modifications ^^

Mine fit like shit and same with my friends gun, I would have to agree with Amos on this one. Hell I even went out and bought a Maruzen cause of that and couldn't be more happier.

Having trouble finding a piston that comes with a piston head. The pistons seem to be widely available but the rubber tops not so much. I see Cobra has them, will a piston and rubber top clear customs no problem?
I installed a Mad Bull tight bore (6.01) that works well. Is a Sorbo pad worth it?

I know their AEG springs are awfully inconsistent... But my PDI spring in my VSR-10 is giving a deviation of +/- 1.5

Their sniper rifle springs are just fine.

Actually, it's 0% TM compatible.. TM doesn't make a L96. Every single one of these guns is different, the tolerances they're produced at aren't very tight or consistent.

My bad, it is in fact Maruzen and not Tokyo Marui, I only buy clones anyway. You can find my threads in this upgrades section and it show that my (now sold) TSD/Well Type 96 accepted 100% of the Maruzen upgrades with a mix of Laylax/PDI parts. I even reached 670 fps with no show of wears anywhere inside the cylinder. And mine, maybe I was the 0.01% lucky guy, fit the PDI hop hup as a knife through hot butter. ^^

Installing the PDI Hop up is a real pain in the ass. The only instructions I found was the video on youtube of the James Bon guy, but it is not very clear. Everything is so small and has to fall on the floor at least once so you can happily turn around on your knees. I still not understand why you have to actualy tape a spring nowhere outside the hop up...

But now I do understand what the spring is for.

Everyone his opinion, but personnaly I rather buy a TSD at 285$ canadian on buy airsoft if what I want is switch al the internals anyway. But yes, a Maruzen is sure to have a nice external quality I guess... but it doesn't interest me
