Absolutely not...at least with this Guarder reinforced mechbox shell. To make a generalized statement based off of this thread would be an error.

I would conclude that this body has compatibility issues with this particular mechbox shell.

This particular mechbox shell has been successfully used in several other builds (3 outdoor field limit rifles and 1 high speed rig)...and has been a staple in my testing kit.
