Metal Body for G&G GR-16
Good day everybody!
I'm looking for a new Metal Body for my G&G GR-16! I broke my front pin on the upper receiver, Epoxy does the job but I'm looking for something brand new. First, I KNOW I cannot import metal body. Second, I KNOW that if I cannot find a metal body from G&G it will require some work to make it fit. Don't worry, I have a dremel and some patience. So, I would like to know, when web sites say "Fits G&P only" what the hell that means? What's so special about G&P? AFAIK, some dremeling may be required but I don't think it can't work at all... And, what about upper receiver? Is it "standard" or there's some details I should know? Exemple, Madbull Noveske upper ; what would I need to make it fit on my actual G&G body? By the way, I searched on the forum without success... Thanks!

G&G uppers use an over hanging lip in the rear to engage the lower and lock into place. The MadBull upper you linked has no such lip.

Okay guys, I really need to find a solution... right now, my guns is shooting because Ive hockey tapped the upper and lower receiver. I really need a new upper...
I tried to order the OEM upper only from AirsoftGI but they don't want to ship it in Canada. I'm stuck... any idea?

dunno if this is anything to do with this thread but though i might say it since you mentioned g&p
the g&p metal receiver i got for my 416... there are no lips or holes on the rear of the upper to hook the rear pin, only the front pin locks it in place. the upper does not hinge open from the front pin, it slides straight on from front to back and you have to pull the charging handle out while doing so in order to get the charging handle over a little nub on top of the v2's gearbox

What would be the modifications needed to fit a G&G Mechbox into a G&P Metal body?

Hey there
I now have the very same problem, did you ever figure it out? Anyone else experienced with G&G compatibility issues. |
