16 cm long springs

Hi I just wanted to know wich type of spring was 16cm long or close to that.

Ummm, springs come in all types of lengths and wire thicknesses. Also state the fps you are wanting (hopeing to get) and what type of gun/AEG you are looking to get it for. Other upgrade parts can affect the velocity as well, such as a tightbroe or bearing spring guide. Those two together you can expect a 15-25fps increase regardless of the spring you have in there.

I want to get about 400 fps, a little more or a little less is not a big concern.
I managed to dismantle my S&W m3000 shotgun (known as the walmart shotgun). I kinda sliced it into two parts after unscrewing tons of ?screws? (i dont know what is vis in english), and all the internals fell on the floor. Its not a big concern cause its a 40-50-60$ gun but it will still be long to put evrything together. I putted the spring out and mesured its lenght (16 cm). 15-25 fps wont be enoff for me cause it only shoots 250 fps right now, and has a 75 foot total range.:x:. I want to use it outdoor this summer.

Ouch, trying to get close to 400fps out of a Walmart shotgun? No chance in hell, unless you want to get your kills by having your spring & piston fly out through the barrel and get your hits that way. Not sure of any springs you could buy that are aisoft springs and will fit your shot gun. Need to measure the inner diameter of the spring also, sniper rifle springs ar elong and have a small inner diameter (7mm or 9mm) and AEG springs tend to be around 11mm ID, but can range from 6 1/4" to 7" long (even among the same brand and rating, PDI are the worst!)

lol the piston thing would be funny
but yeah i will measure the inner diameter of it and look at some aeg springs cause my friend got a sniper rifle and his spring is tinner than mine.
And wich brand of spring produce 16 cm long or about springs?

Don't worry too much about length, it's the ID that is more important. And people never buy AEG springs based upon length, so there isn't any information our there for that. Is just something you'll have to try out, buy a spring based upon rating (most are in meters per second, 1m x 3.3 to get the feet per second......... an SP100 spring will get you around 330fps, etc.)

Stalker's bang on. I'd add just a point or two that may help you out down the road...

- since different makes of springs come in different lengths, thicknesses of wiring, etc....you need to make sure that you're setup has enough space to fully compress that spring...especially if you have a bearing spring guide and a bearing piston head.

To test it before you install everything do the following on a solid table/desk.
- put the spring guide on the table, point up
- put the spring over it (tighter coils of a non-linear spring go at the spring guide end...but it doesn't matter for this test)
- put the piston body/piston head assembly over top of the spring
- carefully (you'll probably have to hold the spring guide so it doesn't slip out of position) press the piston assembly all the way down. Although it doesn't go all the way flush to the end of the spring guide when it shoots...it's pretty close to it.
- obviously...let the piston up slowly when you're decompressing the spring and don't put your face over top of it! LOL!

Things to watch for:
1. The end of the piston actually fits over then end of the spring guide bearings...I've had a spring guide/piston combo or two where the piston would jam on the bearing set. It' might be a close fit...but the piston should freely go over the spring guide bearing/washers.
2. The end of the spring is a good fit and sits completely on the spring guide bearing/washers...if the end of the spring is a little too big...when under compression it'll squeeze out wider than the spring guide and will jam the piston. I'm not 100% certain this is always the case...but several stock CA springs that I have will jam up a setup with a modify bearing spring guide.
3. If you can't push the piston assembly all the way down with a given spring...swap out something (most likely the spring) so it does...if not your going to either lock up your mechbox or strip something.
