Preventing BB's from falling out of hopup assembly

I was tinkering around with my CA and am trying to figure out a way to keep the 5 bb's falling out of the magwell when you reload. It's not really the fact that "OMG i just wasted 5 bb's!" to the fact that there's 5 unused bb's littering my yard for no reason and that no matter what i tell myself it will bug me watching them roll out every mag change. And it bugs me that i wasted 5 bbs .
Anyone ever done anything like this? I'm thinking something like small bump where they can go up but not down. Or maybe a 2 pieces of something in the shape of ^.
Any suggestions besides get over it?
Thanks for the help in advance.
-Brett

Well, some mags have long BB followers. You could always go that route. I have a few mags (mystery brand that I bought used in the classifieds) that feed all BBs most of the time. My King Arms mags also have longer followers and at most I'll have 1 or 2 BBs fall out when I reload.

Well I'm gonna give my p-mag a look and see if i can mod the follower. But i'm thinking it will be tough because the bb's make a curve in the mag so i'm not sure how i could make a longer follower. Thanks alot!
Anyone else done anything like this?

when I unload my mag I do it near a carpet and the fallen bbs I put back in the bag. or better shoot it upsidedown that works too.

There is a little mod that I've heard of working, but it requires some work:

Basically, remove the plastic nozzle below the chamber (the one that holds open the retainer on the mag so that the BBs can feed into the gun) and drill a small hole in it. Cut a tiny segment off of a very thin o-ring and glue it in the hole, so that a tiny nub sticks out inside the nozzle, enough the catch loose BBs, but not enough to snag fed ones.

Never tried it myself.

That's what I do when I'm plinking. Catch the 3 or 4 left in the nozzel, drop 'em back in the bag.

Out in the field playing I really don't care that much.

Hmmm.....i'll try that this weekend! I'm not sure what you mean by plastic nozzle though. Do you mean the bottom of the hopup assembly?

And i know you can hold it upside down, that's usually what i do. But if there was a 15 min. mod that would save me from doing that forever it would be worth it.

THIS.

Seriously. Just turn your gun upside down and shoot the last few BBs. The problem is the spring is fully expanded and can't push BBs anymore so just turn the gun upside down and gravity will feed your hop up like a hopper.

The other mod would be to do something with the spring or an extra spring to push the extra bbs into the hop-up but I don't know what would work without interferring with the normal mag function.

It depends on the model, but I know for a fact that on the AUG, it's a separate part from the hopup unit entirely.

It's the tube in the middle of the ST-20 group.
The nozzle I'm talking about is the part on the gun that actually engages with the magazine, where the BBs are fed through.

*Sigh*

Thanks tunabreath that's what i thought you meant.

And also guys i know 5 bb's isn't a tons of money or anything, but i shoot my gun ALOT. Like probably 4-5 times a week and go through tons of ammo. It's not like i'm getting sleep deprived because i'm worried about 5 bbs. I was just wondering if there was a simple fix!

No the spring is fully expanded it's just that the follower stops in the mag and doesn't stick up into the hopup to feed the last 5. The spring does it's job fine.
