Modifications to a JG Bar-10
So after having my gun for about a year, and getting it to shoot fairly well, i became bored with its looks and set out to modify it. At first i wanted to just do a paintjob, but realized i wanted much more than that. Thus, after getting inspiration from a picture i saw, i decided to make a new "rear end" of the original stock.
I first drew up two models. One based off the Bell and Carlson tactical stock, and then later the Mcmillan A5. I first spliced them in MSpaint, and then from there, drew them out in Solidworks. Here is the Bell and Carlson attempt, and then re-spliced back into MSpaint: And here is the McMillan A5 attempt, and the re-spliced back into MSpaint. Turns out, I like the McMillan one much better. So in the end, I decided to use it, and so far, the progress has been okay. I CNC'd out the first half today out of some pine that i found laying around. I could've used better materials, but i was cheap and lazy. It still needs some work however, especially since a large chunk chipped out at the top. But, i was planning to use some body filler anyway, so no worries. Will post progress as i continue.
