007 Airsoft G&G AEGs (clear lower receivers)
Hey guys, does anyone own one of the new G&G AEGs that Ken sells now? I want to buy the GR16 Light combo, and I was hoping that someone would have a review of the gun.
Is it good quality? Can the flash hider be removed? If so, what mm thread does it have for silencers? Thanks!

Im sure the quality is as fine as any other G&G quality gun with a metal body, minus the metal body in this case. However like most guns it could most likley use a reshimming just to be certain. Yes the flash hider can be removed, and logic dictates since the info on the website states that the barrel is 14mm - thread, that it would take standard 14mm - threaded silencers.
Sorry I dont have a review, I cant do all the work for you.

Think of it as a G&G brand, with just a plastic lower reciever.
Everything is the same just like the rest of G&G, and difference is just a clear lower. |

I have this combo. Final testing is being conducted this Sat. review should be up Sun, or Mon. Its a great little gun, it comes with a wrench to take the falshhider off. It is actually secured by what looks like plumbers pipe dope and it is on there very solidly. The tightbore in there works well to.
As for Suppressors unless you change the front sight you will have to use a mk23 suppressor. The front sight interferes with most others like my KA. The other option is to extend the outer barrel and use any regular old suppressor.

I was playing with ken a few weeks ago and he played with one all day. It worked great and shot great.
The clear lower is not even that noticable. I think it's a hell of a deal. |

Hey guys,
Is that gun worth the $400? It seems overly priced.... |

If you're Canadian it's a very fair price. If you aren't Canadian, it's a ridiculous price.

If you look at the prices for G&G they are actually pretty reasonable what with our dollar the way it is and for the quality of the AEGs (and difficulty of finding G&G guns with clear receivers)...
Going from one of the lowest USA prices and converting to CAD almost all of those guns come to within $50-60 of standard conversion rates. Yes you might be able to hunt up some clear guns from the USA an get them through customs but these G&G are higher quality and hardly clear at all- (these are only clear lower receivers and most clear guns that do clear customs seem to be 90% all clear or fully clear receivers) $50 extra is a small price to pay to be sure you get it as it has already passed customs and it helps one of the retailers who is trying to bring qaulity guns legally into canada. That said if you look at the cheaper brands of clear guns it is far cheaper to just order from the USA- but with those cheaper guns you have more quality issues to look after (I have Crosman AEGs, Cyma AEGs, and Jing Gong AEGs, though they work great once tweaked and tuned up they all require more lovin at first than a higher quality gun on average). |

Does the same go for the clear ICS? Their mp5/armalites. Hell, are ICS even good to begin with? I've heard they've got trouble with metal bodies ~ only accept bodies catered to ICS because of their mechbox?
