what is this "nub" part for on my TM M4???
I noticed on my TM M4 receiver (M4 RIS), there's a a little plastic "nub" with a spring on it - under the delta ring near the top rail.
I noticed that most aftermarket receiver bodies don't have this, and only have a hole. I am assuming this is for the "fake" gas tube? So on my M4 ABS receiver, do I just snip this off and drill a hole for the gas tube? I'm installing a new front end. I just want to make sure before I cut something I'm not supposed to. *sorry for the noob question, my M4 is the only AEG I have ever owned, so I haven't taken apart any others. Thanks. |

Judging from what you've explained, i believe you are correct. But a picture would definately clear up any uncertainty.
