If parts are shipped separately, chances are, the lower receiver (or uppwe on certain models like the MP5) won't make it through customs, but the rest of the gun will

... technically.

Customs has a nice habit of trying to assemble things together to build what it is that you were disassembling, and in the process, losing all the tiny springs and screws that were packaged so nicely in the first place.

Yeah, I hear ya. I ordered 4 MP5 mags a while back. The disassembled all 4 of them and lost one of the pins that holds the mags together. They didn't even bother trying to reassemble them either. They just stuffed all the loose parts into a plastic bag, sealed it up with customs tape, and sent the package on its merry way to me.

Yeah, I got a box of mixed black and white BBs, that was pretty interesting.

The most important bits will probably get taken. By the time it makes it here you'll have a gun minus a frame or part of the receiver and maybe other important bits. You'll then have to put it all together and buy whatever they seized. Not worth the trouble or the cost.

And a nice little note from customs and 5 or 7 years of searches of all your stuff that comes into the country, including yourself.

I see one on airsoftparts for $45.

With shipping being what it is, + the restriction of the item, why would you ever risk ordering away when it's so cheap in country?
