I have both the VFC ,in black ,and the STAR in tan with the eglm. They both have their pros' & cons'. The VFC is a better gun overall but the STAR has a better stock design (internally) The STAR is alot heavier. I thought the extra weight was all in the eglm but that was not the case. It's a good 3-5lb heavier! The nice thing with the STAR is that you can change barrels in 2 seconds. The whole barrell comes out with the hop-up rubber, but the hop-up stays behind. The mechbox is almost identical to a V2 with minor changes. The hop-up is attached to the front of it, and it looks like you can remove the spring without taking the whole thing apart. I love them both but I prefer the VFC. Its' not as front heavy and just seems to be put together better.

Scar owner, CA, absolutely love it! Was a tan scar now custom painted, insane rate of fire even with an 8.4v pack.

Tried both in my hands in a shop in the US, definitely went for the VFC, better feeling, rugged, case included, looks sooo nice!

I bought a G&G SCAR-L from Mopic and it's an excellent gun. Solid and reliable.
