The air nozzle, tapplet, and an upgrade gun
Does anyone know how well the stock nozzle and tapplet stand up to an upgraded TM G36 w/ a M115 spring and a 9.6V battery?
I've done some searching and was unable to find if it was necessary to upgrade this part as well. From what I gather, it seems that people prefer a plastic or a metal nozzle but did not explain if they upgraded for durability or performance reasons. Thanks in advance! |

Tapplet plate is fine, Nozzles are upgraded to ones with orings inside of them to improve airseal with increases FPS
Metal ones are used when you seem to break your nozzle lots, but most aftermarket ones are fine. Metal ones can deform the bb's upon feeding them into the hopup which will alter there flight path. |

The reason I am ask is that I purchased a set of reinforced internals (Element 200% tune up and the Element silent head) but don't have the upgraded nozzle and tapplet to go along with it. Do you think I should acquire the nozzle before opening up the gearbox (to save myself opening it up twice) or should/can I stick to stock? |

+1 on the tappet plate, I'll assume your talking about a 9.6v mini battery, my G3 was using an 8.4v large (very close to the same ROF with the same internals). Lasted 3 or 4 seasons with the stock TM tappet plate, that's pretty damn good.

Both the stock nozzle and tappet plate should work fine. An enhanced nozze with o-rings will get you a better air seal and possibly a few fps more. But the stock one should work out fine nonetheless.

I'd say replace it if you've got the peanuts for one. They're not exactly expensive, and stock TM nozzles aren't exactly stellar. Some manufacturers have even started putting o-ring'd nozzles in their guns, maybe TM will follow suit... In 20 years.

Thanks for all your feedback. Guess I'll shell out a few more clams for the parts.
I am trying to order the nozzle and want to stick with element. The G36 is not listed here, bur many others are. Does any of other guns share the same size nozzle for the G36? http://www.rsov.com/product/0/1069/p...electable.html |
