Looking for a solution: Hiding Trademarks
Has anyone had any luck hiding the stamped-style Trademarks on their ABS Receivers? I was thinking that perhaps I could score the Trademarks and fill them in with a Modeling putty that matches the colour and tone, level it with the rest of the Receiver, and then let it dry and harden, but has anyone tried this and gotten decent results?
What I'm looking to do specifically is remove the "C" from the "G36C" Trademark on my G36C (I'm all about the details...can't be running around with a G36 that says "G36C" on the Receiver, can I? You hard-core guys know what I'm talking about!). That idea aside, I have some ideas that I'm less faithful in, such as mixing an Acrylic paint to match the tone and filling in the "C" with that, and letting it dry into plastic, but...yeah, I'm not too thrilled about that one. Anyone have any suggestions?

IIRC, some exporters have done what you have suggested regarding putty before shipping to the U.S. As another alternative, Army Code has some nice G36 replacement bodies available with correct trades.

Yeah, I've been trying to find someone who could get me an Army Code Receiver for weeks, but no luck. This is more of a last resort kind of thing. I've found the correct supplies with which to do this, but I'm still a little hesitant to go through with it without an idea of how well it'll turn out in the end. If I can't get ahold of a proper G36 Receiver by the time my massive parts Order arrives from Hong Kong, then I'll go through with this and hope for the best.
