TM 1911 Blowback Disassembly

Just wondering how to take out the stock blowback unit. I just received the AirsoftSurgeon blowback unit and want to install it.

Also is there any problems that might accure on a stock gun? Since it's faster blowback, do I have to worry about damage to the frame?

Thanks

Remove the screw pretending to be the firing pin and gently pull the sides of the slide around the blowback unit outwards. You should be able to pull the unit down and out, eventually. Carefully not to use the loading nozzle like a handle, as you might break it.

Fucking right, thanks man. I noticed a small screw under the loading nozzel and wasn't sure if I needed to unscrew it.

I have heard issues with the AS BBU fitting with aftermarket metal kit for 1911, not sure if it is the same with the stock slide. There are also reports of the piston(the anodized red part) screw coming loose in ~200 shots. You might wanna tighten it carefully snug, and/or using some thread locking compound like loctite on that as well.

Should make a very snappy gun with that on a plastic slide....
