Desert Eagle clip not holding gas

I'm at a loss. I used my DE around Christmas 07, no problems. Went to use it the other day, the clip refuses to hold gas. I tried green gas, coleman propane, nothing holds. Instead, the clip literally drops below 0* celcius while holding it

What should I do. To answer a possible question, it was semi cold outside when I was trying to load gas

Yep, I hold the clip and gas can properly

Yep, it expells out of the exit area, don't know for sure

I hope I the seals ain't cracked

And finally. I think I got it fixed anyways. The screw at the bottom of the clip was slightly loose, and there was a small steel rod near the top going from side to side that needed to be pushed over a bit.

PS. I always thought it to be a "clip" for a pistol, and a "mag" for a rifle

It's "magazine" for everything except, for example, the M1 Garand or Kar98, which use clips.

where is the weak. check the bottom or side for a screw and tighten it. Mine back out on my hicapa mags. But its an easy fix for me. If this isn't the problem we can at least rule that one out. Who makes it?

Well after the last time you used it, if you didnt store it with gas in the mag its very possible the mag dried out. Tighten anything thats loose and maybe that should fix everything. If not hopefully a good soak in silicone oil for a few hours or over night may remedy the issue. If not you will have to replace some Orings.

I'm confused by what you say here. Are you supposed to leave the MAG (lol) full of gas when not in use?

Yes, you are supposed to leave some gas in the mag. Some say keep it full, some say to keep only a few seconds worth of a fill inside, but either way its suggested to keep gas in the mag when the mag is not in use.

Yes, anything above empty is good, even full. I've never had a mag leak from leaving gas in it, but have had a few leak even after a few days of no gas, start leaking bad when I filled it.

Sort out where exactly your mag is leaking, then we can move on to fix solutions. Different areas require different fixes.
