I just installed a Madbull Dragon Fire 12" kit yesterday night...goes on like butter and meets up with the receiver just as you describe. $55 at airsoftparts.ca...shipment just came in Tuesday.
7" kits are $50 CNC'd aluminum...zero wobble...not exactly 416 style, but 4 rails the whole length as far as the eye can see..! http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=894 JP rifle kits are nice too...I have a 7" kit installed on my CQB rifle and a recently uninstalled (last night) 12" kit on my DMR'ish rifle. I used a CAVS clone to get that 416 look from my M4 sorry no pics but it looks like this
