Anyone Replaced the Hop-Up unit on a VFC SCAR?

Has anyone here had to replace the hop-up unit on their VFC SCAR? It looks to me like the stock unit is designed in such a way to allow the lower receiver and gear-box to snap-in a certain way. And it looks like the front of the gear-box 'slots' into the hop-up unit as the lower is snapped into the upper.

It's unique to the SCAR and no mention of aftermarket versions on the way.

Much more chatter on the SCAR on the Arnies forums. There's maybe four or five of there here so not a very deep pool.

The battery setup is much more of a headache than the hopup chamber.
