As for the rest, for my needs silent piston head is no good, it means that I'll need to put a stronger spring in order to stay with the same muzzle velocity. Ball bearing bushings will probably seize up so I'd rather stay with the standard ones, and the only things I'll do is going with reinforced gearbox shell if I'm going to put higher speed motor, since I already got better gears than stock. |

Just finished measuring... 21 bb/sec on a M130 spring (a nice 420 fps). Hehe, who said that 10 is plenty?

I'm just trying to imagine that by counting to 21 as fast as I can in my head. oh shit- Congrats. 50bb mag in 2.5 sec?

O.K. so I know what will take me to 21 bb\sec, a systema turbo, but what will happen if I'll drop in a magnum?
should the fact that I'm "only" using 130 m\s spring and not the 170 give me higher rof? |

hmmm
Still think you will have to maintenance your gun 3-4 times more offen.. I say that 10 is enought... since I coverfire with bursts... you can do random quick bursts.... so the guys can't head up because they never know if there is still some BB in the air.... anyways.... good for you. Now bet a 20C 11.1v Li-Po pack and you might cream your pants... makes a HUGE difference.....but be carefull with it and charge it with a very good charger. |

A weaker spring is much more suited for the Systema Turbo which is for speed (increased ROF) with some extra torque. The Systema Magnum has greatly increased speed and torque. I don't understand the logic of using a high torque motor with a relatively weak spring rather than just a faster motor. Increased torque motor is great for driving strong spring though.eg You want the gun to fire near 500fps in your country,( assuming you upgraded many other parts too ) YouTube - Redwolf Airsoft - SYSTEMA Turbo Motor Series Video 1

I've finally killed my CA motor.
Since this thread was open I've fired well over 20,000 BB's (probably way more). Any one tested the G&P or guarder motors? Or should I go with Sys magnum and that's it? |

Illusion built the mechbox in my M16A4. SystemA reinforced gearbox, super torque ups, polycarb piston, silent piston kit, bore up cylinder, the list goes on I can't recall.
The box has been working in my gun now for 3 years with nary a burp. Was opened once for lube and maintenance and it was still clean - a perfect storm of parts plus expert assembly. Some guys like Illusion and Gump have a gift with mechboxes. I wouldn't hesitate to get a custom build from either of those two again in a heartbeat. |
