Shortening barrel for M190
Hey all, i've got a M190f special forces edition. Basically its an M9 variant with an extended barrel. Randomly the extension has fallen off leaving the barrel exposed. I'm sure i can find an appropriate screw to attach it back, but i don't like the extension as it feels a wabbly. My question is whether i'm able to just saw off the barrel and forget about the extension piece. I don't see why it shouldn't work, but before i take the saw to my baby i'd like reassurance. Will this greatly effect accuracy? Not that it matters too much as i don't have time/resources to actually play right now, but i do love to plink.
here it is: http://img.redwolfairsoft.com/upload...HG-199XL-L.jpg thanx for your replies!

Take a picture of the front with the comp off and a pic of the muzzle end of the outer barrel. And there's no way to know the effect on accuracy for sure, though FPS will probably drop if the inner barrel has to be shortened that much.
This belongs under Upgrades and Modifications, not General.

after careful inspection i'm seeing that the inner barrel is loose (and has possibility of falling out) without the end piece. So i think i'll just try to find myself a replacement screw to put it all back together.
Thanx for your reply Saint, greatly appreciated.

The inner barrel shouldn't fall out without the comp in place. There are notches cut into the rear end of the inner barrel that the hopup chamber locks on to.
The end of the outer barrel was what I was worried about, since most airsoft GBB outer barrels have an inner diametre much greater than the inner barrel's outer diametre and relies on a holed wall at the business end of the outer barrel to center the inner barrel. Apparently the M190 does that with the comp instead of the outer barrel.
