New to the GBB thing...
Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the GBBs.
I've read that Canada doesn't allow green gas... and so we are using propane to run our GBBs. My questions are: 1)What do I need to start using GBBs? 2)What exactly does the AI propane adaptor do? and where does it attach to? 3)Where do I get the propane? and how much would they cost average? Thanks =) |

I don't know about Canada not allowing green gas, but that's not really why we use propane. We use propane because green gas is (unsafely) repackaged propane with some minor additives and 3x the price.
1) BBs and gas (silicon oil if using propane) 2) Get a propane bottle from any hardware store, it'll be painfully clear 3) See 2; ~$5

Propane adapter goes on your propane bottle, and you fill your mags (most common spot) with gas. I'd say most airsofters use propane in Canada. Spritz some silicone oil on the internals every now and then for maintenance. And store the mags just a bit of gas in them.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I thought Green Gas was propane with a little bit of silicon lube mixed in to lube the mags and guns.
Buying cans of propane at crappy tire is alot cheaper than green gas. All that is needed is a small investment into a propane adapter. |

Serious? this is new to me, ive been draining my mags of gas when not used.
Depending on your GBB, get extra mag lips. Maybe its my bad fortune but ive dropped 2 mags and had 2 broken mag lips both times. Dumb luck. Also, get about 4 mags for a gbb. Im a noob, but I started with 2, and now after some useage, 4 is my magic number. Have 3 and im getting another one as soon as the weather allows gas. |
