Delta Ring?!?!?!

How the hell do you take off an M4 delta ring? it's driving me crazy! i removed the outer barrel, but can't figure out for the life of me how to get it off.

The ring with teeth, as I understand is used to tighten the D-ring to the barrel. Is this right? As in, it doesn't have a function of holding the D-ring on or anything so that I have to remove it?

Push the 2 pins out of the front sight, remove front sight, remove hangduards/RIS (assuming you haven't already), remove delta ring.

Have you managed to take the delta ring apart at all
Not sure if they are all the same between brands. There is two notches cut out on the one half, and two "posts" shall we say on the other. You have pull back the ring, rotate the d-ring and the posts holding it in will come out the notches. There is the spring between the two halves, and the one that remains on the gun is threaded off.

Did that make any sense?

Wait a second, de-mix, I'm trying to get the Delta ring off the body, not apart. I would use the teethed-ring to do this?

Yes. The "teeth-ring" should just be threaded on the upper.
If I remember correctly, I just take it apart(d-ring) so i can access the teeth side and screw it off by hand.

Best of luck!

You know how to take it appart, do that, but lign up the grooves and then turn it so that the delta ring is not spinning freely, but it turns the whole assembly off.
