Question Cylinder and nozzle types

Those parts are usually sold for specific gun models (M4, M16, AK, G36c, MP5, etc...).

What are the differences exactly? I assume the cylinder has to do with the barrel length (but they all look the same?). Is the difference with nozzles the distance between the mechbox and hop-up feeding?

For a G36K, I would need the M4A1 cylinder type (357mm≈ 363mm) and G36c nozzle? Is this right?

I know my gearboxes, I'm just trying to find what would be the best option for upgrading/replacing my G36k internals when the time comes.

I wanted one of those Guarder piston/head/cylinder/head/nozzle kits to save a few bucks, but I guess none will fit perfectly with the G36k without replacing 1 or 2 pieces.

I would suggest getting an cylinder kit for an AK for the following reasons:
1. Both the G36 and the AK use the version 3 gearbox, allowing you to only have to purchase a G36 specific nozzle to make it work.
2. The AK has a cylinder that is designed for a gun with a longer barrel, so you would not have to worry about purchasing another cylinder. I've taken apart a CA36C and a CA36K and found that both of them use the same type of cylinder.
3. AK cylinder kits are a bit easier to find it seems compared to the G36 type, at least here in the States. I don't know how it is up North, but the least amount of headache is what I go for when shopping.
4. While I don't have a version 2 cylinder head to compare to a version 3, they are two different items avaliable from Guarder so I will assume that they differ.

Cheers,
Taito.

Version 2 cylinder heads are different from all version 3 cylinder heads.

... and by "all version 3 cylinder heads", I mean there are two different versions of version 3 cylinder heads.

... confused yet?

That picture is actually a version 4 upgrade set (PSG-1). It will not fit in to any other gearbox.

ahhh i see it now, didn't notice before but now that you mention it, the cylinder and piston are abnormally long.

unfortunately nobody makes cylinder sets for the G36 series yet, best to buy the parts individually.
