Stock CA AUG (300-330 FPS) /w 509mm Stock Barrel with both standard black plastic hopup unit and a new PDC Poly Hopup Unit with the madbull...

And all I got was low ranges and double feeding. :S

But it was cheap, I can't really argue about that, but it's pretty much equal to CA's stock hopup nubbin (which is pretty bad) and bucking, only with more double feeding.

There are 2 types of MB Shark Accelerators (at least when I purchased) - clear and black. Clear's for lower FPS whilst black for higher (think cutoff is 380fps - but don't quote me on that).

I found that MB's are very finicky. It really depends on :-
1) hop-up chamber version
2) inner barrel brand

For example, Ver2 hop-up with MB Python's great. Ver2 hop-up with PDI, average. Ver6 (P90) hop-up with any barrel - forget it. In fact with the P90, there's a natural hop even with a hop setting of 0. But one thing that has been reasonably consistent with the MB is that I generally get a small up in FPS in comparison to other buckings.

To me, the best hassle free is FireFly Kurage buckings (and BigOut H-Hop nubs).

My 2 yen worth...

Looks like they (MadBull) picked up the difficulty of installing their buckings. They've just released a new "60 degree" bucking :-

I guess it's too new for anyone to demo/review.

I just installed one on my firend's gun but I used the stock TM nub instead of the V one. It seems to work pretty well and fixed the double feeding. However it still hates my KA hop up chamber

I put these into several peoples guns and had to replace all of them almost immediatly for the problems already stated above. I have yet to find an internal part made by madbull that is even half decent.

I tell my customers to stay away from MB.

i'll confirm i've only had problems with madbull rubbers. maybe the new ones are better, but airsoft companies (with a few exceptions) are very retarded at fixing their mistakes especially when there's a mold involved. personally i like tm rubbers, they always work. as for easier to get replacement rubbers, i recommend systema or guarder (in a pinch) to my clients. ca and g&p rubbers seem to have issues with giving enough hop so it's a good idea to swap them out, otherwise hop rubbers don't need to be swapped all that often unless you wreck it while fixing a jam or something.

So, I had one laying around, and just installed it a couple days ago. My TM AK hopup was missing the nub inside, as only on max hopup were my hits on target at 10 meters. My predictions were correct, inside was the rubber, but no nub.

I installed the Madbull set. The accuracy is complete garbage. Compared to a stock TM M16A2, this thing is terrible. shooting at about 6 meters, emptying a good amount of ammo from each (around 70-90 shots each), the M16 got most of the shots into within a 2cm hole, with flyers opening upto around 4cm. The AK ended up firing into a about 5cm hole, with flyers opening up to around 15cm or more. Semi or full auto. The M16 I just fired off the entire mag in one trigger pull and it had excellent grouping. The AK is just terrible. And the hopup is excessive, I barely have to turn it on at all, but it doesn't over hop on minimal settings, hits straight. Just the spread is pretty bad.

Should I get a new hopup rubber and nub? Anyone got any good suggestions for greater accuracy? Nothing too expensive or rare, something thats available at hand hopefully.

I also managed to lose the C clip while installing the hopup, anyone got a spare?

Thanks,
Cheers,
Alex

I personally like Firefly Kurage. But others in the forum may also recommend Guarder's (and they're cheaper). I didn't have luck with Guarders in my P90 - every shot hopped up with 0 hop (just like the MB Shark Accel).
