tightbore

Hey guys, Does anyone know where i can get a 6.01 for my tm p226? Because I can't find anything in Canada, Can I Import the tight bore or is it going to have problems in customs?

I don't know if I would get a tightbore that small. I would be afraid of the possibility of a bb getting stuck.

well that solves my problem very fast and very easy. Assuming i don't have some customs guy thats like you go on vacation but i cant so i'm going to take your shit for no reason(i plan on getting one on my next trip to Houston)

6.01 is what most people are putting in for tightbores in 226's, or at least on asc and joc

Excuse my ignorance, and slight topic straying but... what's the main purpose of a tightbore barrel? is it a tighter fit so that even less air is lost around the BB while being fired and adding more pressure to the BB, or something else?

A tightbore stablizes the BB more as its leaving the barrel since there less space to bounce around making it have a more straight flight path

Well if you get a tighter barrel it helps minimize the gas that is pushing the bb, which means that you will get more velocity and range. It also helps with accuracy and consistency of your shots since the bb won't be skipping off the walls of the barrel.
