TM 1911A1 AND WA 92FS "PV" Metal Slide question?

Hey guys, im just wondering out of curiosity would a metal slide and body upgrade (approx 200 dollars CDN) be really neccessary for the Tokyo Marui 1911A1 (299 at aasurplus) to shoot propane/green gas?

Thanks guys! :fro:

EDIT: SEE BELOW POST BY ME FOR WA 92FS Question!

It's not necessary, but it is funecessary.

Question

oh ok so its not like my ksc usp.45 where the propane will actually damage the slide over time? the 1911 holds up better? if its not actually needed i would rather just save the 200 bucks thanks

The newer TM pistols seem to take propane better, but you will have more wear.

Just change it down the line if money is an issue right now.

awesome thanks guys i guess ill hold off as the original slide has all markings and from what i heard on reviews feels like almost real steel.

HOWEVER,
Any suggestions on mods / upgrades to the gun that will enhance GAS EFFICIENCY (heard its really bad like 1 fill per clip) and shot power / accuracy?

Thanks!

PS: to avoid opening another thread if possible,

for the WA 92FS Perfect Version, is this also the same as the 1911A1 in terms of propane? is the upgrade for a metal slide unncessary when using propane (will the durability be an EXTREME problem)? thanks!

I am deciding between these 2 guns a 50 dollar difference according to aasurplus.ca

Tightbore is the best upgrade to improve gas efficiency in a TM, followed by Nine Ball piston head and Guarder enhanced loading nozzle.
