CA M24 jamming, something bent

Hi, I have a classic army m24, i recently put a gas cylinder in it and its shooting around 500fps with .20. I've been have major problems with it jamming. I'll Pull the bolt back to cock it and when i push it forward the bolt will not go all the way forward. I took the barrel and such from the stock and where the bb's are loaded into the weapon from the mag, I'm not sure what its called but that little metal rod that sits behind the bb that propells the bb out, well just on the end of it it bent a bit. Like the whole in that rod, on one side of it some metal bent into the whole which is what is causing the jamming problems(i think). Hopefully i wont need a full new gas cylinder because this one just cost me 150$. What part is that, that i could replace? Please help me with this.

The nozzle? Yes they are replaceable, and relatively inexpensive. Just make sure you get one that seals well, or all those upgrades will be worthless.

Make sure your bolt handle and boss (the cap that holds the bolt handle in place) are snugged down well, that could cause problems.

Also, there could be a very good chance a BB popped out of your mag when you were cycling the gun and fell inot the hole at the rear of the hop up unit, and is sitting between your cylinder head and the hop up unit, preventing the cylinder form going full forward. Has happened to me about a half dozen times in the 4 years I've owned my CA M24 (mostly caused by mags with busted feedlips as well as cocking the gun at higher than level angles............ pull cylinder back, bad feed lip causes a BB to pop out, it rolls back and into the cylinder chamber).

Yah both my mags are messed up but i know theres not a bb jammed in the gun, i had that happen once but i got it out. The nozzle right on the end is damaged, i have one from the spair parts i got with my gas cylinder. I just dont know how to take the gas cylinder out so i can fix it. I think that is the problem but the mags have been giving me trouble and is what started this; i need to buy some new ones. If there was a gun doctor near me id just pay them to make it work lol. I just ordered a new scope, low ringmounts, flip ups and some duracoat too and i cant use the gun lol. Sucks.

Do the feedlips on your M24 mags deform easily, Stalker? One of mine seems to be forming a roundish indent pushing outwards already, and I haven't even put that many rounds through it.

I've heard that APS-2 mags are a little better than the CA-made ones.

APS2 mags are a lot tighter. Just buy some thin brass strips from the obby shop, cut to size, round off nicely, then use GOOD instant glue to glue them on the plastic feed lips. I have to replace one or two of mine per year, but I use my M24 every day I play, and have three mags. Haven't bought mags for 3 years now, and the problem/fix showed up three years ago.

Sounds like you may have chipped th nozzle on the hop-up screw as well. Usually you just get a nice gouge out of the nozzle and masive air loss due to a bad seal.

It's a real simple check, make sure you chamber is clear, pull the bolt all the way backn turn the giun upside down, look in the magwell and see if the hopauup screw is protruding into the trac the nozzle wuld travel in.

Meh, for all we know he could be in the US, which would make him middle aged as far as airsoft goes.
