I dun use anything buy pop cans...oh, and for those fps numbers to work, it has to be a normal Coke can...there are countries that make thicker walled coke cans....beats me why.

Dun try some other cans as different companies make cans of different wall thicknesses

At what distance from muzzle-to-can?

Less than 1 foot. My numbers are approximate and using different cans varies the numbers, but it's a general range.

So, i tested my fps the poor mans wasy with the new and old nozzle....and no change... and it somewhat penetrated the can. so its not the nozzle.

I believe the problem is the hop up. to help describe it better I have soem pictures

you know what....i checked my old stock parts and they were really really greasy. then i check my parts and theres little to no lube at all, the hop up is perfect b/c when i blow on it no air is leaking anywhere.

Its the grease...i believe theres blow back causing it to lsoe the fps.

I have the same problem with my CA249 actually. Much like your problem, it seemed to happen spontaneously. It happened after I had shredded a piston and swapped in a new one (I had done this before with no prior problems). I ended up swapping the stock CA piston head for a stock TM one and it did make a bit of an improvement. It still shoots a bit low for the spring but it seems to have quasi-fixed the problem.

I'm running:
SystemT tightbore
Prometheus Red hop up
SystemA piston
TM piston head

I was planning to swap out the piston/cylinder head to see if that is a permanent fix.
