Proper Weapon Storage.
Hello,
I have a small gun collection which I like to maintain and recently purchased a small locking cabinet designed for firearms to keep them secure. I will also be keeping my airsoft locked inside for safety and potential legal reasons, My question is this... Should I keep a desiccant substance inside to ensure a environment that will prevent moisture damage, or could this potentially cause a problem that hasn't occured to me yet. Thanks! |

I keep a dessicant in my rifle case, just to be sure.
Plus, I got them free from work.

I also keep dessicant in my rifle case, mainly out of concern of returning from a wet game.

always a good idea to store anything electric with dessicant packets, but ive been through a few rainy operations and ive had no problems with rust. stock airsoft stuff is metal and not steel (yes theres a big difference), and depending on the composition is usually less susceptible to corrosion. i know that steel upgrade parts and most metal ones can rust, just clean everything with contact cleaner after wet games. I store my guns in a damp basement and they have no problems.
