CA XM177 E2 Battery Question
hey guys, quick question:
My friend and I just recently bought two of the XM177s (CAR15s), and we bought with them 2 batteries that were apparently 9.6 2000mah. The website we bought them from is www.ricksairsoft.com. The problem we are having is this, the batteries simply aren't strong enough to support the operation of the guns. On my stock Car15, the spring barely fires, and on my friend's 400 fps one, it doesn't shoot at all. This was very surprising seeing how they are SUPPOSEDLY 9.6 2000 mah batteries. So my question to you my friends is this: For those of you who have this gun, what batteries have you had success with? I've put in small batteries for my ICS m4, and they don't even come close to fitting as the CA XM177's foregrip is significantly smaller, and the top half cannot hold a battery. Please help! We want to use these things so badly in skirmishes, but we have no idea which batteries will work! Heeelp! :banghead: |

The easy question is the battery fitting situation, this can be solved with things like a PEQ or a battery bag if you wish to keep the sliding stock.
As for the 9.6V 2000MAH not being able to run the gun, you should definitely try to find a gun doctor in your area to have a look at things like shimming in that gun. Would need a lot more details in order to narrow it down for you online, but you'd still need to get a gun doc to take it apart for you to fix it anyway. The biggest problem you're gonna find is your location is stated to be New Jersey. There is little we can do for you up here in Canada as airsoft can't cross the border with out special licensing and permits.
