g18c not recocking with the blowback of the slide

As of now I have pretty much every upgrade imaginable for the g18c, and it fires very well. The problem is that it after shooting it looks as if it is blowing back all the way (my not be, but it looks like it) but I have to recock manually by racking the slide after every shot. It is cocking back far enough to load another bb, but will not recock. It does this with both the metal and plastic slide, and both recoil rods. Is it possibly something wrong with the hammer mechanism? I think I've lubed it fine but I dunno. Also, it does this with both magazines I have. Any ideas?

I semi-fixed this problem in a G19 a while ago... One of the sears or the hammer was just worn down too much so that it wasn't catching during the quick blowback, but it would catch on a slow manual cock. I had to file another part so that it would catch more easily, but I wouldn't recommend that as it was really just a stop-gap solution. Open the gun up, look at the hammer assembly, figure out what's worn and replace it.

I took it apart and the only piece visably worn down is part 263. The lip on it is mildly worn (where it meets with part 251) but it has like a burr or something that wasn't there before, a part where the lip connects to the rest that is somewhat judding out. I was going to file that smooth but I wanted to check with you guys to see if that was a no no. Aside from that part 265 isn't seated solidly, you can move it very slightly back and forth and I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be that way or not.

Ok well I figured out that it is going all the way back, as the slide locks back after the mag is empty. The part 263 that had the burr I filed smooth and the piece looks ok aside from minor wear. I have pictures of it if you guys want to see them. Other then that everythiing looks fine to be, the only other out of the ordinary thing is the trigger pull is very heavy for some reason. I dont' remember it being this heavy before any of the upgrades.

So I guess I'm looking for a way to fix this without having to take the hammer assembly apart, because I won't be able to get it back together again....lol. Is there possibly anyway that I can slow the blowback? It blows back very very fast and maybe if I could slow it down a little it'd catch ok.

Weaker gas and a weaker recoil spring I guess... that's really a super stop-gap solution though.

What upgrades are installed, do you have an after market "rocket valve" if so what brand? also check parts 266/267 make sure they are not worn/broken and that they line up wiht and work with part92 correctly even a small change like 92 being .5-1mm too low can effect hammer lock back.

When you did your upgrades, did you remove the trigger assembly or the rear lower assembly (the part that holds the hammer)? as if you did and bent your trigger bar that will cause binding and possibly lead to your slide malfunction.

I did take apart the hammer assembly to put in the hammer spring, but I don't see any bent parts(though I don't know what part is the hammer bar, do you mean part 78?) I just took it apart again and I noticed that part 268, the spring that pushed part 267 and 266 up is very loose. It doesn't even have tension on one side until part 267 is back a little bit. Could that be the issue, and if so, is there any way to bend it back without taking the pin in the assembly out?

edit* Ok well I made the trigger bar as straight as I could see, and then bent that spring back a into place a bit and reassembled the hammer stuff. Now looking at the info for how you know if you've upgraded your hammer spring correctly, it says you should be able to push the hammer back, push down part 81, push forward part 265 and hear a click (something I couldn't do before, even when the gun would manually cock), and pull the trigger which should fire. It will do this perfectly with the slide off, but when I put it on and try to cock it that way it won't cock at all now by racking the slide. So I'm thinking I fixed the assembly, but I dunno.
