What is optimum performance?

About a month ago, I bought my first AEG, It's a Tokyo Marui Ak-47.
I've now played in 3 small games with it and I am to be frank a bit dissapointed. Our little "club" is starting to make the transition from Canadian Tire Spring Guns To aeg's and Gbb's. But as it stands now it seems the extra $400 is not worth it. However, I have a freind who bought a Co2 pistol for just $100 and it is performing Much better in almost every aspect then my Ak.
Im sure there are some improvments I can make towards my gun...

-I've bin using .25g BBs
-havent touched my hop up, Curves up to much... (whats a good amount?)
-Im a bit lost with the whole charging/decharging of my battery
(why is it so important?)
- How often do I need to put oil in my gun?

Thanks Allot, Hope MY Newbness dosent make you mad.

wow, not cool.
your 14. Who sold you the TM AK47?

and a C02 pistol for $100...Im guessing a canadian tire peletgun or BB gun that your running 6mm BBs through. And if thats the case, I dont mean to be an ass, but fu-cking-morons...sorry, thats a bit harsh.

.25g is fine
if you dont know how to use your hopup, read the manual or the faq, or just use common sense.
read about the battery, the info is posted lots.
you dont oil an ak47, you lube it with grease, and again, that info is listed here.(if its posted, we dont like to spoonfeed)

As much as the idea of a bunch of 14 year olds running around with AEGs, softair guns, and c02 powered pelet guns makes me want to unleash the mother of flames on you, im gonna let others try. Basically the situation that you described is exactly what we try to prevent from happening.

again, i dont mean to be an ass, but if you do some reading around here, you'll find more then enough reasons why someoen who is 14 should not have an AEG...you'll also find out that those who cannot seperate the realities of a pelet gun from an airsoft gun, are generally considered below the acceptable airsoft maturity bar.

I'll keep it extremely simple. Owning and using an Airsoft gun with no direct supervision from the legal owner ( who must be 18 ), on lands that are not authorized or insured for that purpose, is ILLEGAL.

Because of that, somebody will have to pay the moment you get even one complaint from a nervous witness. Since you are 14, guess who pays if you are caught? Your parents.

Nice gift to them right? "Hi Dad, my actions just got you a criminal record! What do you mean you cant keep your job?"
"What do you mean I contributed to getting airsoft banned in my Province?"

What you do next will entirely depend on your level of maturity and intelligence, and how much you read this website. The solution is obvious.
