Wich metal kit would you recomend for TM p226
just picked up a cheap marui p226 and i looking to upgrade to a metal kit there seems to be really nice one (like ILLusion Navy p226).I also saw in other posts guarder, G&P ...
Wich one would you suggest that is not too hard to install since this is my first GBB(best bang for the buck all around). Also i know i cannot import complete guns from asia, can i import a metal kit(slide, body, barrel)? |

i think Creation's steel set would be the best choice but yet you would need to fork out more mola. Try their aluminum set. G&P and Guarder also offers metal kits for p226. but then b/c of their price compared to Creation's, you would expect lower quality. you should do some research about them. some say Guarder set is not all that bad

I am using a Creation P-226 metal slide for my TM Sig Sauer...had it install by my local gun doctor. He was so impressed with the fit and decleared that it is the easiest metal slide he ever installed on a GBB.
The metal guage for this slide is on the thin side, which contributed to it light weight. The slide stands up well with the upgrades of high performance valve,150% recoil spring, spring guide and hammer spring. Fried over 600rds of BBs on this gun with no issue so far. |

Person I'd probably suggest talking to is Jugglez.. He's got what, three FMU P226's now? And he's written a nice review on the ACTION slide somewhere on ASC.
Personally I like the stock plastic, but hey, that's me. Only problem is it's a bit buttery-soft and gets marked up with bb hits easilly.

*off-topic* I much prefer the old Muffinman nick, but oh well. */off-topic* On the topic of firearms, only the receiver and the barrel (due to length issues) should trigger customs, however, we've seen how this isn't always properly followed.
