Airsoft isnt firearms...........

Dont exactly know what on an AEG is going to corrode.

May want to post this on CGN's forums, Probaly have a lot more market there.

Nifty stuff tho, doesnt look very dark tho, probaly just the pictures.

if it's durable it's useful. some people get annoyed when a carefully applied finish flakes off, this could be a a great product. i just wish it came in a spray can instead of having to be applied via airbrush, then again there's probably a good reason for this. do you have any pics of the actual camo templates i cant find any info on em on that amazing site of yours :P.

Our website will be updated within a week with new pictures of all the products, so you shall see what the stencils actually look like. We sell kits that come with spray cans, you just add the product to the bottle and you are ready to spray. Our finish is extremely durable and can be applied to any type of material. And is totally air curable or may be baked for quick cure.

What solvents are used in your products? Some may be incompatible with ABS or other plastics typical in airsoft bodies.

Arma-Coat can be applied to any wood, metal or plastic, the only exception being rubber.
There are no solvents that will damage even the cheapest plastics. The only part of concern would be when you degrease (Prep work) the cheap plastic you would have to take a rag with lacqer thinner and wipe it rather than submerge it so as to not melt the plastic. As for application of our product it will not have any effect to any type of plastic.

There are a lot of solvents which degrade ABS. Acetone and toluene are common ones which are present in many paints. While some of these paints do chemically bond well to ABS, heavy applications can cause orange peeling or crazing.

Yes toluene is used in our product but is gone in a mere second or so from "Flashing Off", so if you completely over coated the piece of plastic you might be ok but then you put too much onat one time without flashing off it won't cure properly anyhow.

I agree MadMax, definately something to watch for, but he did put it on an AUG and isn't the lower reciever on the real AUG the same as the airsoft version, ABS plastic?

Actually no IIRC. The JAC AUG stock is closer the to real AUG stock which includes some sort of glass fibre reinforcing mixed with the plastic. I'm not sure if it's ABS or not but the TM stock is defnitely different.

We have coated AR, AUG, and AK, HK plastic with never any problems whatsoever, even some of the really cheap butler creek stocks for hunting rifles. The stencils are $80 each and with that you get your choice of up to four 4oz bottles of Arma-Coat for $12.00 a piece. (Regular MSRP is $17.99 for 4oz's) The stencils are reusable and can be baked up to 350F. With this stencil kit and up to 16oz of Arma-Coat you can finish about 8 M4's if you use the product effeciently.

murdoc what you should do is buy a cheap air soft body. plastic of corse and do a befor during and after test on it so you can confirm that it wont or failing that provide a warrenty to buyers if it screws the body of your gun up you will replace it.

not bad idea, I have some one who can lend me a fake P90. It will take a few weeks to post up because we are extremely busy at the moment.
