Hogue Grips on KJW M9 - Need mod?

Hi, I already ordered some real firearm Hogue grip(finger groove one) and a KJW M9.
Just wondering if I need to mod the grips to fit on the gun.
If yes, what will I have to mod?

I already searched and all I found was that the slide might not lock back because of a spring touching the grip?

Mine works fine without any mods.

No mods needed. Just take the original grips off and replace with the Hogue grips.

Yes, I was the last to respond, back in 2003. Another tip, be careful not to overtighten the screws on the grip, otherwise you can pull the nut right out of the frame and will have to resort to ABS glue to get it back together again (if you don't have the metal frame M9).

I just installed mine I got from Army issue. (thanks man) It doesn't seem to affect the slide/cycling at all however there are slight quarks with it.

Depending on which M9 you have, I got the elite IA black which has the rail and the straight grip. Kinda looks like the vertec but full metal.

anyways on mine, the grips are straight. However the hogues are slightly round at the bottom bit and the hogues kinda poke out at the back and pinches your palm slightly, it's not perfectly flush with the straight part of the grip. If you dont mind it it's fine, but to get it perfectly flush with the grip you may have to cut part of the rubber off.

That said it's only a very slight misfit and probably wont bother most of you. but just know that it's not perfect at the back. Ill try and get pics later. And they are pretty sweet to hold. Makes the KJ m9 feel all classy with all metal and rubber.

Another thing is it tightens the mag release button a little bit. I think it's because it rubs against the rubber and creates a bit more friction. Not a big issue. still works perfectly but not as clicky.

what about hogue rifle grips (as-15/m-16) on my m4a1 carbine? anyone know if they fit any good?

I very much doubt it but not 100% sure because if its a TM gun, it needs to house the motor. I was reading a systema PTW vs. a TM m4 review and it compared the grips and mentioned that the grips on the TM m4 were actually thicker than the real one because it has to hold the motor.

To put it in a TM M4 grip, or any motor housing grip for that matter, you'll need to buy their universal pistol grip style grip, the kind that slides over the grip like a sock.

My KJW M9 needed NO modding to put on hogue grips, and I still love the way it feels in my hand....the M9 you sick bastards.
