Parts needed to bring a P90 up to 350fps

Hello all,

I have a TM P90 (all stock) thats currently shooting 260-270. Its my thrid gun to be used only for CQB, but I have a friend that may want to use it in an upcoming match and I'd like to get it to 350fps to give him some field range.

Can folks list what parts they'd recommend for this gun to handle the power?

I can do the work myself, I work on all my own guns, just need my grocery list built.

Thanks in advance

Metal bushings and Prometheus SP110 will do fine.

an MS110SP might get it a bit hot.

I use an MS100SP in mine and it shoots 340fps. But this is also with a spring guide w/ bearings, ventilated piston head w/ bearings and a tightbore inner barrel. If you leave the rest of his gun bone stock (except for metal bushings), using an SP100 should give around 325 - 335fps.

An MS110SP should put the P90 around 370fps... ish.

Thats a bit high. I'd just want it kissing 350fps with .2s on the high end. Abit lower would be fine too. Perhaps a Systema M100?

With that spring would you recommend anything beyond bushings?

My bad, thanks Carl.

Hillslam, go with what Illusion suggested, the 100SP and bearing spring guide will put you right around 350fps, maybe somewhat under. 350fps isn't a powerhouse setup, it's useful in a field gun though. My full time MP5 runs 365fps with .2g using a good PDI 150% spring and Guarder bearing spring guide, and it's totally useful over longer ranges. Heck, I've gotten 150ft kills with a quick burst easily. As far as anything else to add, not really for a basic reliable upgrade. Bushings, spring guide and spring is plenty.

Sure wish I could skip the bushings, I hate shimming - its so time consuming to do right. But alas... not worth doing if you don't do something right.

Thanks guys. This is just what I'm looking for: a nice mid-power close-range not-overpowering CQB gun I can also loan out to friends when they join me and not feel like I'm shorting them with a limp weapon on outdoor games.

I'd strongly recommend an Eagle Force motor, or a better battery, so your ROF is still decent.

for sure.
i have the eagle force eg1300L motor in my P90 with a custom 7mm gearbox, prometheus bearings and double-torque gears and the ROF is awesome with great semi-auto shot pickup using a mini battery.

I've found that simply replacing the bushings (good quality bushings at that, only found one set to be subquality and shiming being needed) and spring doesn't require a shim job. If you replace the gears, yes, damn good idea, but every mehcbox I've worked on that I replaced the bushings I checked to see if the stock bushings would work ok for each gear, then all three together, and found they were totally fine.

It would work, but from what I've seen, most stock Marui guns are shimmed with rather loose tolerances to reduce wear on the plastic bushings.

Using the same setup could work, but it would be looser than it should be if you want it set up right.

Hey I want to do the same thing with my P90 but dose anyone have a Diagram of the gear box? And what chance is there that you would strip a stock gear with the upgrades you suggest?

We have the parts diagrams somewhere on here. Go nuts with the search feature!
