I'm really impressed with the build quality, it's tank; super heavy, nice fit and finish. But the grey colour wasn't correct for what I wanted. So refinished it.

I am probably late to the dance with this one. But a dude out in Alberta is selling a neutered DL-44 airsoft build. Might be useful to chat him up about this.

thats awesome dude!! i actually thought the same thing when i first seen that pistol....do up all the star wars weaponry would be sick...i would love an AEG replica of chewies bowcaster ....

Turned out great! I've been following the ANH and TFA threads on RPF for a while now. I have ANH kit already but i'm holding out for either someone to do a c96 airsoft or see if I ever come across a deactivated c96.

Currently have a TFA kit on order but still in need of a HFC M712. I was hoping it would be easy to find out but most people seem to only carry KWC.

Did you see the metal side plates someone was offering on RPF for this?

Kokanee, may I ask you a few questions about your build?

How you attached the sight bar mounting studs? Did you drill and tap or did you use epoxy or something? I was considering doing both (drill-tap and epoxy).

Also, what did you do for the left side? Did you use the included plastic plate?

I ask because I'll be starting my build when all of my goodies arrive (still waiting on the HFC M712 and 3D printed short magazine) and I could use any hints your would be willing to pass on.

I thank you profusely in advance for any assistance you may offer!
