VA m4 body pin
Hey everyone,
Not sure if this is specific to velocity arms or just a stubborn pin but I cannot for the life of me knock out the small pin beside the selector to remove the gear box. Everything else has been disconnected and removed. It pops through all the way but the last couple of mm's will not budge. I have tried heating and freezing, and tried to pound it out with a hammer and screwdriver with no result. Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions? Thanks, |

Knock it out with a punch and hammer in the direction opposite that of the larger pin.

The pins are splined or knurled on one side and mostly come out from right to left (viewing from the back). If you punch them out the wrong way, it's a royal pain as the splined end is bigger than the holes in the body and gearbox shell you're trying to push it through. Once it's out, reinstall it the same way it came out (usually from left to right) with the splines being the last part going in.

Ah I see. I couldn't make it budge spline first for some reason. Might just cut it and replace it at this point.
Thanks for the insight! |
