Upgrading an M4

What's up guys. A friend and I recently purchased a new APEX R5 M12 and are looking to do some upgrades on it. We're looking to try and get as much range as possible with it while also keeping it under 420 FPS. We've started with a new Madbull 6.01 inner barrel but want to hold off on further upgrades until we get some recommendations on some parts.

Any suggestions?

The only thing i would do is try to fit in an 11.1v lipo. that gun comes all ready to kick ass.
Maybe r-hop the hop up for better range and that's it.

that is in fact the gun. should I try and throw in a high torque motor to try and increase the fire rate and add a new spring?

You don't need a whole pile of jam but what you do need is making the most of what's there to get the air consistently down the barrel. It already came with a 6.03 so if that's legit, you could leave that. Definitely an r hop, or at least a flat hop. Make sure the hop up is well sealed and that you're getting the most out of your gearbox and you'll find you don't have to do anything to the motor end.
