ICS m4 complete MAKEOVER, sandblast, powder coat, re-engrave
Hello everyone, here is the latest project from imperial engravers.
Until now, i have been able to offer sandblasting and re-engraving. But what was missing? - The ability to offer a perfect coating option for airsoft. Tried Krylon camo, tremclad, duracoat, etc. NO aerosol can cut it...simply nothing that comes from a can and has to air dry is durable and easy enough for airsoft. You have over spray, blotches, drips, etc... So the solution to this was POWDER COATING. A powder spray that is baked and the result is simply PERFECT. No drips, no blotches, no uneven paint to worry about. Also is the most durable application out there for paint needs. Powder comes in all colours and finishes...from candy green to anodized red, to glass white (high gloss white) They have additives like metal flake, glow in the dark powder, etc. The possibilities are endless. someone DONATE a ak for me to gold up hah I am thinking of doing a Lime green receiver with chrome barrel..sounds nuts but its fun to try all this random stuff. Maybe like this colour: So the process: 1. sandblast the receiver and parts 2. powder coat the parts 3. bake to perfection 4. re-engrave SIMPLE eh? not really...but i have it figured out. ya man, magpulled up
you gotta see this powder coating. It is truly perfect for airsoft. Very very tough and thin...so the pieces go together very nicely. No need for sanding to get the tolerances back Where are the pics of your build? I need one of these: and my LIPO wont fit in the magpul hand grip...uggg. I'm wait for parts still but I'll upload some pics tonight. It looks pretty badass though. I wish we went with the powder coat like we talked about. Once my hi capa comes in, we'll do something with it.

So you used an ICS body, and re engraved it to be Magpul? Or am I confused?
Would be very cool to have a C8 engraved ICS body.. |

Lime Green? Chrome barrel? Might be good for UK but I don't think anyone wants to "paintballize" their airsoft guns.
Cool concept though and who knows maybe I'll send you a wall hanger to gold plate (that's pimping since been pimping since been pimping).

hey guys, acquired a new machine.
A special printer that adheres perfectly to all metal and plastic. It can do full photo 1440 dpi and even multiple layer raised. have a look here for some examples, unfortunately I dont have any airsoft to test on! www.pcEtch.com dave@pcEtch.com is my new email. in portfolio the PC case and the cell phone cases are done with the new printer. let me know if anyone wants to donate a 1911 slide or something, ill do the work for free for the first few if interested. any semi flat surface will work well. Id be very interested in trying some m4 receivers! |

Proud to show off this one!
New Yag laser can do depth, so no more expensive CNC charges! Accuracy, depth and blacken. To match those factory trades without having to strip/repaint the metal. http://imgur.com/a/SJMqK |
