What are they planning to do with the place? It's abandoned so I assume no one wants to buy out the place right? So long as the place isn't condemned or deemed unsafe (i really don't want to fall into the lake from that long-ass walk way collapsing) this would be an awesome place to play at.
Who is currently in-charge of these arrangements? We need to appoint a spokesperson on behalf of ASC who can write up a proposal indicating how many people are willing to attend as well as the budget per person in order to achieve any kind of clout with the property owners. Just going in there without a plan is a waste of time. People are saying "CONTACT" but there needs to be a strategy if we're serious about this. |

When i was working there years ago it had already been converted into a terrible weather themed education station / employee break room. No more mega maze One of my friends is still working maintenance there. They do still have a skeleton crew in case anyone escapes from the Amphitheater and wanders around.

If someone hits me with a near-professional proposal, I can make sure the right people see it.

The only proposal you could offer would be 100% profit. You could probally charge 150 to 200 for a milsim easily. And if that AO could hold 1000 players 500 a side. (not sure on that number) . You do the math, If you found someone who is in insurance lets say its 10000 or 20000 for that. Say 8000 for gate security and game control that would leave $ 142,000 profit. The right big wig would jump all over that. Nice to dream :P

Duffman, with those kinds of contacts, I wonder if such contacts could turn Kingston Penitentiary into a part-time museum, part-time airsoft, and part time other events location. I mean, sure, it's a historical structure, but it's a prison; BB's won't damage anything in a stone and steel structure like that. I suggest this mainly because right now it's sitting idly doing absolutely nothing; if it was turned into something that could turn a profit, while maintaining its historical appeal, it could make it something truly memorable, not to mention being able to pay for its own bills to keep it in tip-top shape, like it deserves.
Of course, paintball is off limits to my idea, but we're not paintballers, right? :P |
