Like the title says, just wanted to know if anyone has experience in converting the two and if it's possible?

Yeah afaik it sould he a complete upper swap, the outter and frontset attach differently. I know the g and g used the same base as the A for the SD but i think most other companies will be different. If you google that "mp5sd6 to a conversion" there is a thread here on asc about the gandg and a video about putting an sd handguard on an A front set ics, but not alot otherwise. Id say if you have the funds buy the parts and try.
why did you wanna do this? Are you just looking to be shorter for cqb?(thats why i "snubnosed" my sd way back when i used to play indoors.

Yeah, I've seen that particular video and he said the conversion from A5 to SD5 would weaken the barrel shroud or something like that. I'd like to have the opposite so I thought it would be more feasible to convert SD to A series. Also the reason I want a swap is because I have an SD6 and SD5 so I kind of want both HK's in the family. As well as picking up a Kurtz later on down the road to sort of complete the family of MP's. I would love it if some company also made the 10mm MP5 mags as well. (Straight grey colour mags) Thanks for the info.

No worries. Im just thinkin it may be close to the same price to just buy a cyma mp5 lol, and ill vouch they are prety decent. Ive had their K and currently have their sd6 (my fave)
Just for information, seein as you are an H&K fan like me, perhaps youd like to have some fun with one of your sd's and snub it. I threw a rebar cutter on it with one of these. It was prety cool looking.

Edit: as for the mp5/10 mags i think the angel custom "ap10" mags are likely the closest looking and you MAY be able to remove the couplers off them and paint them.

If your cocking tube assembly is a separate part of the reciver (like a TM), this should be a pretty straight forward swap -
http://mach1airsoft.com/product/a-se...ng-handle-set/ (out of stock, just for reference )
You'll need to get a 3 lug flash hider separately and handguard separately.

Would I be better off getting this than buying separate pieces and disassembling the whole front cocking tube area?

Will that also get seized at the border/customs?

It will, on mp5's the fire mech is located in the upper not lower so thats the restricted bit.
plus at that price plus shipping, exchange and duties you may as well buy an A
the cyma sre around 200 cad at the depot, no stock at the moment but they will get em im sure.

Interesting, Well I have been eyeing a VFC Mp5 A4 for the last couple days so I might post up my SD5 on the Classifieds and put the proceeds to the VFC. Thanks for all the info guys.
